about me
My name is Cecil O. Almonte. I was born on Wednesday, 26th of June, 1985 at San Juan, Puerto Rico. I have always liked arts. I went to art school for the first time when I was 12 years old. When I was 14, I was accepted into CABA (also known as COPANI) in Aguadilla, PR where I studied Visual Arts for my four years of high school. After that, I was accepted into University of Puerto Rico and mayored in Fine Arts (paining). That was the year that I decided to learn HTML and started freelancing as a web developer & graphic designer. I bought my first domain name (cecilomar.com) on the 26th of March, 2006.
By the end of 2007, I was offered a job as a web developer at Gauss Research Laboratory, Inc. This is the company that owns the .PR domain name. While I was there I learned a lot about how the Internet works.
In May 30th, 2009 I got married to Asdrymarie Pacheco.
In January, 2010 I joined the United States Coast Guard. After bootcamp I was sent to Boston, MA and assigned to USCGC Seneca (WMEC-906). There, I developed an external blog, helped develop an internal website, was part of the Snoopy Team (Official Photographer) and I was also one of the official Spanish translators onboard.
In January, 2012 I was assigned to the USCGC Tahoma (WMEC-908) off Portsmouth, NH where I currently am.
